New materials for portable printers

Brady’s handheld printers have long been trusted by technicians, electricians and industrial companies who need fast, reliable labeling directly at the job site. Now Brady has introduced an extensive range of new materials that make on-site labeling even more flexible, durable and user-friendly.

These new materials help solve identification challenges across telecommunications, electrical installations, laboratories and industrial environments — anywhere clear, long-lasting labelling is essential.

Faster and More Efficient Cable & Wire Identification

In cable labeling, speed and precision are crucial. Brady’s new B-7643 dual-tag rolls significantly boost productivity: they allow two tags to be printed side-by-side, effectively doubling print efficiency while reducing ribbon consumption. For technicians labeling dozens or hundreds of wires, this is a major time-saver.

The well-known Portable Hypertag, previously available only for high-end devices, can now be printed on Brady’s most popular handheld printers. With excellent UV resistance and robust construction, it is ideal for outdoor work and cable bundles between 2–12 mm in diameter.

Brady’s popular QuickFlag B-483 label has also been upgraded. The tapered adhesive edge ensures a perfectly aligned flag with no exposed adhesive — and it can now be printed with compact handheld printers, making professional-level flag labeling easier even in tight spaces.

Multi-Purpose Tags and Advanced Solutions for Telecom Networks

Demand for labels that withstand extreme environments continues to grow. Brady’s B-109 multi-purpose tag is a strong, tear-resistant material capable of resisting chemicals, UV exposure, moisture and harsh temperatures. Now that it can be printed with a wide range of handheld printers, it becomes a versatile option for marking outdoor cables, machinery and electrical equipment.

Telecommunications professionals benefit from the newly expanded 5G tower tag range. These UV- and weather-resistant markers now come in eight compliant colors, enabling quick identification of cables based on frequency — an essential requirement when working with complex and high-risk wireless infrastructures.

Brady has also introduced an AWS-compliant self-laminating label (THT-67-427) for the M610 handheld printer. This allows technicians to print compliant labels directly on-site, eliminating waste and delays associated with pre-printed labels.

Enhanced Safety, Maintenance and Compliance Labeling

Safety labeling is at the core of every well-run industrial environment. The new inspection date labels — available in nine colors — provide a simple way to track equipment checks and routine maintenance. Using Brady Workstation templates, companies can customize these labels with their logo, inspection format or next-due dates, making visual management clear for every team member.

For immediate hazard communication, Brady has introduced rigid polyester warning tags that withstand dirt, oil, moisture and grease. They are ideal for marking dangerous conditions directly on the job site.

Industries with frequent washdowns, such as food processing, benefit from ToughWash pre-sized labels, engineered to withstand up to 80°C washdowns and 1500 PSI pressure.

To support Lean and inventory processes, new repositionable B-581 vinyl tapes allow labels to be moved multiple times without leaving residue — a practical solution for temporary or evolving layouts.

Additionally, pre-printed Spanish safety headers and pre-printed GHS diamond labels allow for quick creation of compliant multicolor safety and chemical identification signs using a single print pass. The ultra-aggressive adhesive ensures excellent performance even on rough or textured surfaces.
